For the past 27 years, the Forum's foundation of trust and cooperation has been able to span all divides and provide a place of honest problem-solving for state leaders, especially in the midst of divisiveness and during the pandemic crisis. Every day, our senate leaders must find practical solutions to these complex problems, working through diverse points of view to find common ground. SPF is a setting that encourages honest discussion and respectful consideration of divergent viewpoints.

Forum discussions focus on solutions based on experiences from other states as well as on the insights of world-class experts. Guest speakers have led Forum discussions on urgent topics such as workforce development, infrastructure funding, leading through a crisis, and helping those constituents hardest hit by the pandemic. Our sessions also highlight strategies for how senate leaders can facilitate cross-aisle collaboration in their home legislatures to implement optimal solutions.

As new leaders join the Forum, we welcome you into the congenial atmosphere that is a hallmark of the Forum, and urge you to add your voice to our ongoing discussions of solutions to the complex challenges facing all legislators.
